DISTANT LAND OF CLAUDOLOCK

King Claudolock ruled the ‘Distant Land of Claudolock,’ a drizzly place feared by all Wee People.  Where it rained all day and night and the sun never ever appeared.
In short if a Wee People did not complete his or her ‘good deed of the day’ for the Big People, like picking up the keys that fell behind the dresser or simply pushing a dirty dish into the sink that was left on the counter, they are doomed to the Distant Land of Claudolock for the rest of their lives.
Here they repeat their worst hated chore again and again every day all day forever. Like scrubbing toilets, taking out the garbage or maybe scrubbing the floor.  And they do it without emotion, for King Claudolock in his castle. Which I might add is always very, very clean.
You see if a Wee People misses a day of doing something nice for the Big People the glowing rock around their neck immediately turns black at midnight and one of their hearts, the emotional one, dies.  Remember the Wee People are afraid of black, it means bad things will happen.
They no longer have any feelings like you and I.  They can’t laugh or cry or be sad or excited...they simply feel nothing until their 100th birthday, when their other heart dies.
At midnight they seem to be in some sort of trance and they simply start walking away from their home without a word to anyone.  You cannot stop them or follow because if you try you may end up in the Distant Land of Claudolock too.  It is evil and the Wee People are terrified of it.
Could you imagine never being able to smile again and having to load the dishwasher or clean a room over and over again until your 100th birthday? Yikes, that would be nasty!

Adnil Stands Up For Herself

Adnil lives with her Grandma and Grampa, mom and dad and two sisters between the gigantic walls of a three story mansion in Beverly Hills California.  The house is a pinkish colour and that's fine for Adnil because her favorite colour is pink.
In fact most of the things she has are pink.  You would think after awhile she would like a change but nope, pink is it for her! lol
Adnil is strong and athletic, she loves to run and would run forever if she could!  In fact there is a beautiful garden and walkway that goes to the edge of a lake just behind her house.  It is safe for her to run outside first thing in the morning, before any of the 'Big People' are awake.  This is what she calls 'her' time and wouldn't give it up for the world.
For her 'good deed of the day' for the 'Big People' she decided to clear up the weeds on the edge of the lawn that the gardener missed.  He had already pulled them out and just forgot to throw them away.  Adnil was big enough to carry two or three at once and toss them high into the garbage bin.
It took about 15 minutes and she was done.  As usual she felt really good afterwards.
Later in the day she changed into her favorite pink dress, made from an old tea towel the 'Big People' threw out.  Adnil loved this dress and wore it at least twice a week.
Afterward her friend Annuahs came over to play dolls.  She was fun to play with but sometimes got a little bossy if you didn't do things her way.  It was only a week till Christmas and they were both really excited.  While they were playing Annuahs told Adnil that Santa wasn't real.  That he was made up and it was the mom's and dad's that did it all.
Christmas time was really big at Adril's house and she was really upset to hear this.  She believed in Santa and the magic of  Christmas with all her heart.  She felt sad and mad at the same time.  Her  response was to tell her friend she was wrong.  That there really was a Santa.  Adnil told Annuah that her  parents did help out a little because Santa had such a big job but there was nothing she could say to make her not believe in Santa.  Somebody had to give presents to the kids whose parents could not afford to buy any.  Adnil believed it was Santa.
Her friend didn't know what to say but it certainly made her think.  Maybe it would make Christmas time more special if she at least tried to believe in Santa and the magic of Christmas.
Adnil felt a teeny bit bad for getting upset with her friend but she was proud of herself for standing up for what she believes.  Instead of just agreeing with her friend because it was easier.  This made her feel really good and hopefully her friend would see that being bossy doesn't mean you get your way.

Elleinad Learns Not To Spread Rumors!

Haven't you heard about the 'Wee People' that live between your walls?  Borrowing your things to make their home and in return doing a 'good deed' every day for the 'Big People' (that's us!).  These minature type people are less than 30 cm tall and always seem to find some sort of trouble to get into.  Although in doing so they learn important life lessons each and everyday.  They live to be one hundred years old and have names like yours and mine only spelled backwards.  If I were a 'Wee Person' I would be Ythac! Ha.
Here's an adventure that happened just the other day...

There are not many ‘Wee People’ schools around.  But Elleinad was lucky enough to live in an apartment building and in the basement there was a school.
Elleinad was 10 years old and loved the colour purple.  Almost everything she ‘borrowed’ was purple.  She even wore purple underwear! Ha.
Her ‘good deed’ of the day was to pick up the pencil shavings.  They were accidently dropped on the floor beside the garbage instead of in it.  I think we have all done that before.
School started at 9 am and first break was around 10:30.  During break Elleinad spread the rumour that Sally tooted during class.  This was not very nice and it made Sally cry.  Seeing her cry did not make Elleinad feel very good.
Sally even came up to her and told her not to spread rumours.  Elleinad realized she was wrong to do that and told Sally she was sorry.  Sally smiled and asked her to be her friend.
From that moment on they were best friends and Ellienad promised never to spread rumours again.

CONFIDENCE

Confidence is a good thing to have.  Being confident helps you to do things better.  If you ``believe` that you can win the race, you will perform better than if you think you won`t.  Alyej decided to have good thoughts about the race and she won because she believed she would win.
If you `think` you are going to ace the math test, you will likely do better than your friend who knows he`s going to fail.
Being confident will help you succeed in life and be the best person you can be.

ALYEJ GAINS CONFIDENCE!

Alyej is a smart little ‘Wee People.’ She is seven inches tall. The size of a small banana.  Aleyej loves bright colours.  Orange, yellow and green are her favourites.  She wears bright hair bands in her hair and colourful dresses fill her ‘lunchables box’ dresser.
Today Alyej tidied up the kitty litter box for the ‘Big People,’ as her ‘good deed’ for the day.  It was a tough job but she felt good afterwards.
The ‘Big People’ were visiting relatives and Alyej was supposed to meet her friend ‘Enaj’ in the backyard for a running race.
Alyej was very nervous and could feel the butterflies dancing around in her tummy.  She wanted so badly to win the race but didn’t think she could because ‘Enaj’ was great at everything.  That kind of made Alyej feel bad.
Alyej then remembered what her mom told her, that ‘if you don’t believe you can do something you won’t...always believe in yourself and you will be great.’
That made Alyej smile and she told herself she could win the race.  She really believed she could.
Enaj was not very nice about it and told Alyej it was going to be easy to beat her.
Alyej did not listen to her and kept telling herself she was going to run very fast and win the race.
And guess what?  She did just that.  Alyej believed in herself and ran the fastest she has ever run before.
Alyej could hardly believe it!
She was so happy and even told Enaj that she ran well too.  Enaj was a little sad but laughed and told Alyej she was great.
All Alyej could do was smile

NO MATTER YOUR SIZE, TELLING THE TRUTH IS A GOOD THING!

Always telling the truth is the right thing to do.  Even though it is really hard sometimes.  Especially when you may be in trouble.  You will get into even more trouble if you tell a lie.
Ava found out that telling the truth was the right thing to do.  And it was ok to make a mistake as long as she learned not to do it again.
By telling the truth you will feel good in the end knowing you did the right thing.

AVA TELLS THE TRUTH!

Ava is a very sensitive girl that is afraid to make a mistake.  She doesn’t often smile because she always worries.  Ava even gets upset if she sees a ‘Big Person’ squish a pesky fly!
Ava is very quiet and loves to read and write.  She ‘borrowed’ an old toy doll chest from the ‘Big People’ that she stores all of her favourite stories that she wrote.  So far she has 35 stories.  She is going to be a writer when she grows up!
Her ‘good deed’ of the day for the ‘Big People’ was to close the big back door that ‘Lily,’ one of the ‘Big People’ children, left open on the way to school.
It was a tough job for little Ava because she is only about the height of your dad’s blackberry.  But she pushed with all her might to close the door and scooted back into the vent to get back home safely.
Ava was feeling bad because last week she ‘borrowed’ her dad’s pencil, a golf pencil from the ‘Big People,’ without asking.  This morning her dad asked if she had it and she told him ‘no.’ She felt bad for lying.
She knew it was wrong but she didn’t want to get in trouble for taking it without asking.  Ava was feeling so bad that she started to cry and decided that she needed to fix this.  Ava needed to do the right thing and tell the truth.
She found her dad cleaning the living room with his water bottle top lid, used for the wash bin and piece of foam for the scrubber that was from an old mattress in the ‘Big People’ basement.
He was in a grumpy mood because he didn’t have his pencil to finish his chore list.
Ava quietly told her dad she made a mistake and was sorry she took his pencil without asking.
He was disappointed at first but then told Ava he was proud of her for telling the truth.  Her mother was watching and gave her a big hug.  She told her it was okay to make a mistake but she always needs to tell the truth.
That made Ava smile.

The 'Wee People' Have Pets!...They're Called 'Creatures!'

I'm sure most of us at one time or another have had some sort of pet.  Whether it was a dog or cat, or maybe a fish or hamster.  Something that would love us no matter what we did or how we were feeling.
Well the 'Wee People' families had pets like ours and they called them 'Creatures.'  Since the 'Wee People' were generally shorter than a glass of water themselves, their 'creatures' were about the size of a mouse!
The 'Creatures' have their names spelled backwards just like their owners.  The 'Creature' name was always some sort of animal in our world, like a frog or horse.  Or should I say a 'Gorf' or 'Esroh!' Ha!
One funny thing is that all all Creatures love to watch television.  It does not matter what program, they seem to love them all.  So when it is fairly safe and they get the chance they will watch from under the couch, through the vent or maybe from on top of the fridge!  Do not forget they are very small and can fit in most small spaces where the (Big People) would never spot them.
Generally the Wee People love their Creatures and the more they show their love to them the brighter their necklace glows.  If they are happy, loved and taken care of the necklace will shine brightly.  If they are not being taken care of or they are sick the necklace will slowly it will darken.  Without love and attention the Creature will weaken and eventually disappear, never to be seen again by the (Wee People) family.  When this happens the family is never allowed to have another Creature.  It is kinda like you or I not taking care of our pet and letting it get sick and die.  Definitely not a good thing.
These sweet creatures do not talk but instead they purr kinda like a cat.  I believe it means they are very happy.
Most (Wee People) families have just one creature but a few of the lucky ones that may be blended families could have two!

WHO ARE THE 'WEE PEOPLE' ANYWAY?

Just who are the 'Wee People?'
Tap into your imagination and I'll tell you all about them! Smile.
Ever hear the 'pitter-patter' deep withing your walls?
How about losing something like a sock or pencil you are positive you left on the counter?
Can you think of a time you thought there was one more hole in your favorite torn pants?
And that half eaten pizza you left on the counter last night is minus another piece?
Well don't worry, you are not losing your mind!  It's the 'Wee People' that have just 'borrowed' a few things!
These cute little human-like creatures stand less than a ruler tall, live between the walls of buildings and 'borrow' things from the human owners of the home to survive. Wee People have names like you and I but they are spelt backwards!  For example Cathy would be Ythac and Brenda would be Adnerb.  Pretty neat if you ask me!
They have two hearts; one like ours and one for just emotion as they are very sensitive and wear a glowing rock around their neck as they are afraid of the dark and anything black represents evil.
Don't worry, in return for 'borrowing' things they do a 'good deed' of the day to help us humans.  It may be to pick up a shirt that has fallen behind a dresser or to push a few dishes into the sink for us.  And if they forget to do this task they are sent to the 'Distant Land of Claudolock' where they will live our the rest of their days without any emotion and repeating their most hated chores for the rest of their days.  How awful is that?  Especially when they live to be 100, just disappearing when the clock strikes twelve on their one hundredth birthday.
They have pets they call 'creatures' and if they need to travel they will summon a 'Clingclong.'  Kinda like a cloud with wings.
You see they believe that even the smallest tasks are meaningful.  And I tend to agree with them.  Although admittedly I am a little bias...ha!
These people are like you and might I say they live amazingly adventurous lives.  Learning important life lessons everyday that are important for everybody.
They tend to 'watch' us but very rarely do we ever see one because they are afraid of us.  Remember they are very small and have learned not to trust most humans, and rightly so.
I have written many stories of adventures these little people have taken and hope you will lend me your ears and your imagination.  Join me and who knows, you may learn a few things yourself along the way!...
